Candy was our first Border Collie and of course we have many pictures of her. Some are really good. Have a look at these.

Candy looking very superior

This picture was taken at a show when she was two and half. She was a bit straggly around the ears but the pose could not be replicated.

This is another that could not be re-taken. Candy was in a friends garden when she decided that it would be good to play in our friends daughters wendy house.

Our other dogs love walking in the Sulehay quaries. These quaries are where much of the stone has been obtained to build the houses around the villages in North East Northamptonshire. See them running around enjoying themselves.

They can walk for miles in the quarries without a worry about vehicles. Only the occasional horse and other dogs and their owners enjoying the location.

They are ready to get going

They get in to all the valleys, woods and fields.

We see all sorts of things when we go to the quaries. We need to avoid the cattle. The dogs are very wary of them. But the deer are wary of us. We see these reguarly. Here are the batchelor stag herd of about 30 stags of all ages.

Benjie rarely gets muddy when walking

Benjie usually keeps himself very clean on walks but here he shows a side to him that is unusual.

The garden pond took a battering from Candy. She liked cooling down in there or ensureing the fish got their exercise. And for the picture on the right, isn't it surprising how much attention can be paid to yourself when you are having a snack?

Rhys, Benjie, Misty and Candy always liked to have a good long sleep when they had a busy day enjoying themselves. Here is Solo having a cool down in the farmers trough. He is the only one that jumps in to every body of water and lays down. This is understandable when I tell you that Candy is his Grandmother and she was in water at every opportunity. Now this is clever as all he is doing is cooling down.
