Portuguese Water Dogs are an energetic dog. They love to run and swim at every opportunity. They are also a
very social dog. They insist on being together as a breed. Although at ROBENGER we have border collies and PWD's
and they do play together, the PWD's are always playing together and where the borders are laying in the sun and taking
the opportunity to rest the PWD's are active and being mischievous. They all sleep in the same location and will often share
a bed or insist on being in adjacent beds and will turf out a border collie so that they can be next to another PWD.

| Their coat does have a problem with snow. |
Snow attaches itself to their coat and makes walking very difficult for them. Luckily, it was only their front
legs that were affected.

When walking, at every opportunity, PWDs are in it. So, if you are thinking of getting one, be aware of their desire
to be wet. This is in all temperatures. In the picture below, he is wet and the temperature is below freezing.
The water in his coat is turning to ice.
